
Jamar Brown Named Summit League Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week

Brown averaged 27.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game en route to the second weekly honor of his career
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Kansas City Men's Basketball Senior Forward Jamar Brown was in peak form this past week, leading Kansas City in a pair of games and earning Summit League Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week honors. Brown averaged 27.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game while making 66.7% of his threes and 100% of his free throws, earning the first weekly honor for a Roo this season.
Kansas City started the week against North Dakota State on Thursday evening and Brown was a force to be reckoned with, going for a game-high 26 points and pulling down 12 rebounds for his fifth double-double off the season. He knocked down four three-pointers and tied, at the time, his career-high for three-point makes. He kept shooting in the Roos' Saturday win over North Dakota, going for 29 points and tying his career high. He shot 6-of-8 from three-point range and made 9-of-9 free throw attempts, scoring the most points by a Kansas City player against a Division One opponent since Jan. 12, 2023.
Brown is all across the Summit League leader boards, ranking seventh in points per game and third in rebounds per game. He also finds himself top 10 in double-doubles, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, minutes per game, offensive rebounds per game, steals per game and three-pointers per game.
This is the second weekly honor of Brown's career; the first came on Feb. 26 of last season. The Roos are back in action on the road this week, taking on South Dakota on Thursday evening.
