Kansas City signs Savy Repinski, Hannah Wayment and Madelyn Bahnsen
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Volleyball put pen to paper with three incoming freshman to the upcoming 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday's National Signing Day. The Roos are happy to announce the commitments of Savy Repinski, Hannah Wayment and Madelyn Bahnsen. Kansas City's hard work on the recruiting trail was paid off with the signatures of these three incoming freshman as the first three to join the Roos' 2026 signing class ahead of the offseason.
Repinski is a 5'10 setter from Winona, Minn. who attends Cotter High School where she starred as the volleyball team captain all four years and is a four-time All-Conference performer. Repinski was given a nod to the 2025 Minnesota All-State team following a record setting senior season in which she broke the record for most career assists, dishing out 2,891 in her four years with the Ramblers. Repinski is also a four-time school MVP and a Breakdown Sports Selection from 2023-25.
Furthermore, the Winona native had a remarkably consistent high school career, being named to the Breakdown Sports' Elite 35 Underclassmen in 2023, Top 75 Juniors in 2024 and Top 100 Seniors list in 2025. Additionally, Repinski was a member of the Breakdown Sports All-Area 2AA Team in 2025 and was tabbed on the Winona Daily News Preseason Top 5 Prep Players list heading into her senior season. The highly accomplished setter is raked #15 on PrepDig's rankings, giving Kansas City a talented offensive distributor for the future.
"I chose to play at Kansas City for the coaching, the welcoming team, the area itself and the many resources UMKC offers." Repinski said.
Wayment is a 6'1 middle blocker from Henderson, Nev. who attends Coronado High School and was a member of the All-Conference First Team and team captain of the Cougars varsity volleyball team. Wayment also played for the Vegas Aces club team and is a member of the Academic All-State Team, High Honor Roll and Valedictorian at Coronado HS.
"I was really excited about Coach Posey's energy and love for the team and the game of volleyball and knew I wanted to play for her," Wayment said. "I was also impressed by UMKC's medical majors and overall academic opportunities."
Bahnsen is a 6'0 middle blocker/right side from Windsor, Colo. who attends Windsor High School. Bahnsen was not only a volleyball team captain but she was also a First and Second Team All-Conference standout. Bahnsen was no stranger to success as she helped Windsor claim two conference titles, four regional championships and a state runner-up placement throughout her time with the Wizards. Bahnsen racked up 526 kills, 76 solo blocks, 512 digs and 97 aces in her career at Windsor HS.
Additionally, Bahnsen played for NORCO Volleyball Club where she helped the team take third place in the American Division at Nationals while making the All-Tournament Team in her second year with the program. Bahnsen comes from a family of athletes as her father Travis played football at Wayne State while her mother played basketball at Otterbein. Madelyn's sister Cali also plays volleyball at Colorado Christian.
"I chose to play at Kansas City because it felt like a second home. I love the coaching staff and the team environment and I felt like it would be a great fit for me, both in volleyball and academics, Bahnsen said. "The campus reminded me of home and I am excited to be in the heart of Kansas City!
