Roos Travel to Brookings, taking on SDSU

Starting Five

The Roos head into the matchup hot off a home win over North Dakota, 86-17. Kansas City put up two huge 25-point quarters to break a five-game losing streak.
Emani and Elauni Bennett led the offensive charge for the Roos, notching 26 and 15 points respectively. Both sisters notched a career-high in points and minutes combining for 41 of the Roos' 86 points.
On the defensive end, Ifunanya Nwachukwu was a force for the Roos. She earned a career-high five blocks, reclaiming her national ranking. Following the game Nwachukwu ranked 169 nationally and second in the Summit League for blocks averaging 1.09 blocks per game.
The Roos are still looking to pick up their first road win of conference play. Should the Blue and Gold defeat SDSU they would effectively break the Jackrabbits' perfect conference record, record their first away win over SDSU and pick up their first road win of conference play.
Kansas City introduced a new starting lineup in their victory over North Dakota. This marks the Roos' fifteenth unique starting lineup this season. Nariyah Simmons is the only Roo to start in all 26 games. Emani Bennett ranks second in starts with 18, and Dominique Phillips follows her with 15.

South Dakota State Notes

SDSU will look to pick up its eleventh win of conference play and extend its winning streak to 13 games. The Jackrabbits only have one home loss this season. Falling to then No. 21 Washington State 69-64.
In the last meeting between the Roos and the Jackrabbits, Kansas City held SDSU to just ten points in the first quarter and nine in the fourth, but ultimately fell 72-49.
Sophomore Forward, Brooklyn Meyer leads the Jackrabbits in points, averaging 15.9 points per game. On the defensive end, she also leads the Jackrabbits, notching 45 blocks and averaging eight rebounds per game.
