Dunford Named First Team All-Summit League

The senior notches her third-career All-League honor, her first time on the top team
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - As the 2024 Summit League Volleyball Championship approaches in Kansas City, Mo., Kansas City Volleyball's Kaia Dunford has been named First Team All-Summit League, recognizing her outstanding contributions throughout the season. This honor comes just weeks after Dunford was named Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week for her stellar performance against Denver on Nov. 7, where she posted 21 kills and 22.5 points in a key four-set victory.
Dunford has been a consistent force for the Roos, currently ranking second in the Summit League in kills per set with an average of 3.74. Over 87 sets this season, she has recorded 325 kills while maintaining a .215 hitting percentage. Known for her consistency, Dunford has reached double-digit kills in 18 matches, including 18 of her last 19 outings, and has recorded six double-doubles.
The Waimanalo, Hawaii native's season has been marked by standout moments, including a season-best 21 kills in the four-set thriller against Denver on Nov. 7 and 17 digs against Eastern Washington on Aug. 31. Her contributions extend beyond the attack as she has added 20 service aces, 234 digs, and 25 blocks to her stat line, showcasing her versatility as a player.
