Kansas City MBB will appear on national television for the second consecutive season
KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Men's Basketball will have two games nationally broadcast on CBS Sports Network this season, as was announced today. This will mark the second-straight season that the Roos have had a game on national television as part of the Summit League's partnership with CBSSN.
The first Kansas City game that will be picked up by CBSSN comes on Jan. 8 as the Roos will travel to Baxter Arena for a meeting with Omaha. The game will tip off at 7Â p.m. CT.
KC's second game on national television will be a late-season match up between the top two teams in the league's preseason polls. The Roos will travel to Brookings, S.D. on Feb. 23 for a meeting with South Dakota State at 1 p.m. CT.
Additionally, three other game times have been adjusted from the original schedule. KC's season opener against Hannibal-LaGrange on Nov. 4 will now tip off at 6 p.m., the Dec. 21 meeting with ETSU will start at 1 p.m. and KC's Feb. 8 game against North Dakota will be moved to 5 p.m.
The Roos were selected first in the Summit League's preseason polls for the first time in program history, coming on the heels of one of the program's most successful regular seasons in 2023-24. Reigning Summit League Coach of the Year Marvin Menzies takes the Roos into his third year at the helm with returning First Team All-Leaguer Jamar Brown and Freshman of the Year Jayson Petty.
Kansas City Men's Basketball is offering a chance to meet the team this Friday, Oct. 25. The Kansas City Dunker's Club annual Tip-Off Event will be held at the College Basketball Experience. More information is available here.
