Kansas City Notes

As the third weekend of the season approaches, Kansas City stands tall with an unblemished 6-0 record, secured through their victory at the Dr. Mary Jo Lynn Invitational. This remarkable achievement signifies the inaugural instance in the program's 37-year history where they have initiated a season with a six-game winning streak.
In Kansas City's three matches, Kaia Dunford and Leah Green delivered standout performances, with Dunford earning the MVP title and Green receiving All-Tournament recognition in Springfield. They also clinched the Summit Defensive Player and Offensive Player of the Week awards.
Henry delivered an additional 50 assists against the Skyhawks last weekend, elevating her tournament tally to 139. This achievement marks her surpassing the 30-assist milestone in 5 out of 6 matches at the start of this season, a notable improvement compared to achieving it only once last year

Oakland Notes

Kansas City will seek its first win in 11 years against Grizzlies after they lost 0-3 in 2012.
Graduate student Sarah Turner and Rossman teamed up for a total of 60 assists, and junior Emily Wichmann recorded 27 digs, marking her third match in 2023 with at least 25 digs.

Eastern Michigan Notes

This will be the first since 1996 that the Roos and Eagles, KC is looking win and even the career score to 1-1.
Callie Minshew has held it down for the swoop with 20 kills and 41 assist is currently 1-5 They are hitting .035 as a team entering the weekend.

Chicago State Notes

The Roos and the Cougars last each other in 2019 where the Roos were able to sweep the Cougars. KC looks to to continue their two game winning streak against Chicago State.
Chicago State is 4-1 on the season. Freshman Patrycja Lagida collected 24 kills on the match against UC Irvine.
