
Kansas City Earn Several Top Finishes at KT Woodman Classic

Strong Showing at KT Woodman Classic
WICHITA, Kan.- The Kansas City Track & Field team competed at the KT Woodman Classic to continue their outdoor slate. Friday evening Katherine Hanners was able to pick up a personal best in the women's 1500 meters finishing with a time of 4:31.55. Hanners teammate Ally Ryan and Sommer Herners followed suit Saturday afternoon finishing top three in the women's 800 meters. Ryan won the event in 2:11.12 and Herner took third place in a time of 2:13.99.
Jaleesa McWashington continues to excel in field events with two top-three finishes in the women's long jump leaping to a distance of 5.58m  (18' 3.75")  and 11.88m (38' 11.75"). Freshman Cyrus Laxson placed eleventh with a distance of 6.70m  (21' 11.75") just shy of his personal best, Laxson currently is fifth in the Summit League for this discipline.Â
