Kansas City Softball Hosts SDSU in Final Home Games of the Season

The Roos will look to break the Jackrabbits' perfect conference record
Kansas City Notes
- Junior Camryn Stickle was essential in the circle for Kansas City last weekend. Documenting her second win of the season in the 10-4 series-clinching game against Western Illinois. Stickle headed to the circle in the second inning and stayed for the duration of the game. She threw four strikeouts, allowing just five hits and no runs. Stickle leads the team in batters struck out with 50 strikeouts this season.
- The Roos will look to add another Summit League win and break SDSU's four-game winning streak over Kansas City.
- Freshman Katie Noble has been a key player for the Roos in the circle, at-bat and on first base. In the circle, she has thrown 26 strikeouts and is second overall with a 6.89 ERA. On defense, Noble has a near-perfect .995 FLD% and leads the team in putouts with 194. Finally, she currently boasts the team high, reached base streak with eleven games under her belt. Â
- Thanks to last weekend's win, the Roos improve their record when leading after the sixth inning to 5-1.
South Dakota State Notes
- SDSU started off the season hot with a win over Nebraska and stayed hot going into conference play. The Jackrabbits are currently undefeated in conference play going 11-0.
- Jocely Carrillo leads SDSU at-bat in Summit League with a .429 avg along with 15 hits and six doubles.
- In the circle junior Tori Kniesche is a force for the Jackrabits. She has held Summit League opponents to just 17 hits off of 179 at-bats. She has thrown 88 strikeouts in the conference and totals 179 on the season. Kniesche maintains a perfect 0.00 ERA in the conference. Â
St. Thomas Notes
- Earlier in the season, St. Thomas swept the Western Illinois series. The Roos documented their first conference series win over Western Illinois going 2-and-1.
- With just one win separating the Tommies and The Roos, the next two weekends will be essential in determining their possibility of postseason play.
