Hilbrenner earned her 20th multi-hit game of the season
OMAHA, Neb. - Kansas City Softball (10-33, 6-11) dropped the series to Omaha (26-12, 14-4) and remains the five-seed in the Summit heading into the final week of the regular season. Kloe Hilbrenner and Ally Vonfeldt remained hot at the plate, combining for five of the Roos' nine hits on the day.

Kansas City will return home for their final conference series of the regular season. The Roos will play a double-header against South Dakota on Friday, May 6 beginning at noon. And then KC will celebrate their six seniors on Saturday after their 11 a.m. regular season finale.

- B3 / 0-2 |Â Omaha struck first, putting two runs on the board in the third.
- T4 / 3-2 | Kansas City responded with three runs in the next frame. Vonfeldt started the inning with a double, then hits by Lexy Smith, Marina Karnes and Sydney Nichols put the Roos on top.
- B5 / 3-4 | The Mavs used three hits in the bottom of the fifth to regain the lead.
- B6 / 3-4 | Camryn Stickel and Jenna Milan kept Omaha off the board in the sixth but KC could not get the hit needed to strike back.
- Vonfeldt continued to see the ball well this weekend, going 2-for-2 at the plate with a walk and a run scored.
- Smith also had a pair of hits, adding an RBI and a run scored to the stat sheet.

- Stout got the nod to start the game and went four innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits, recording three strikeouts.
- Milan came on in relief for the third time this weekend and recorded her third strikeout this series. She allowed two earned runs and four hits in two innings pitched.
