For the second match in a row, the Roos fell in a 4-3 decision
JONESBORO, Ark. - Kansas City Women's Tennis (0-3) fell at the hands of Arkansas State this afternoon, dropping their second-straight 4-3 decision. On the singles side, Michela Xibilia, Anastassiya Timofeyeva and Tuana Tinaztepe all picked up points for the Roos.
The Red Wolves picked up the first point in doubles, winning all three matches by a single break. Xibilia and Laura Munoz-Baroja dropped the one doubles match, 6-4, while Timofeyeva and Cardona fell at the two spot, 6-4. In three doubles, Grace Ball and Eva Kresovic lost 7-5.
Arkansas State clinched the match with three points at numbers one, two and four singles, but the Roos also managed three singles points. Xibilia battled for a three-set thriller at the three spot, winning 7-5, 3-6, 6-4. Timofeyeva won a three-setter at five singles, while Tinaztepe won a eight-game set at the six spot.
The Roos are back in action next weekend, traveling to Springfield, Mo. for a battle with Missouri State.
