
Galt Brought in as Director of Athletic Development

Ryan Galt, who played hockey in the Calgary Flames organization, will play a role in fundraising and corporate partnerships
Kansas City Athletics has officially announced the hiring of Ryan Galt as the department's Director of Athletic Development. Galt will be play an integral role in department fundraising, corporate partnerships and donor engagement programs.
"I am very excited to join Kansas City Athletics and build on the existing success the Roo family has achieved," Galt said. "The vision that the department has is what most excites me, and I can't wait to dive in and be a helping hand to the overall success that vision will bring in the very near future!" Â
Prior to his arrival at Kansas City Athletics, Galt was the lead sales representative for Thrasher Foundation Repair and Hello Garage Kansas City. He is also the founder of Pure Edge Hockey Academy, which focuses on the growth and development of top-tier youth hockey in the Midwest.Â
Galt studied at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, earning degrees in Finance, Banking and Portfolio Management in 2019. While at Omaha, he was a member of the Mavs' Division One hockey team, playing 115 games, amassing 27 points and serving as a captain in his senior campaign.Â
After his collegiate career, Galt moved on to play professional hockey in the Calgary Flames (NHL) organization for the Kansas City Mavericks.
Originally from Omaha, Galt currently resides in Kansas City with his fiancée Erin. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and finding new restaurants to enjoy.
