Seniors Grechkina and Vale Battle in Super Tiebreakers
Omaha, Neb. -Â Kansas City Women's Tennis (0-4) sees great rallies in loss to DePaul University (6-1) this Saturday afternoon.
Roo seniors Yana Grechkina and Thanushree Vale each showcased powerful play to third set action. After earning the second set tiebreaker, Grechkina tied the set score one to one. Vale dominated her second set also resulting in a tied one to one set score. Grechkina and Vale both battled but fell closely in each of their super tiebreakers.
"Yana Grechkina and Thanushree Vale both took sets and played really well," commented head Coach Kendell Hale.
Junior Michela Xibilia also had great chances that forced a first set tiebreaker.Â
"We battled hard on several courts but just couldn't win the big points," said head Coach Kendell Hale. "With each match we are getting better".
The Roos will compete versus the Creighton Bluejays tomorrow at 9am before returning home to host Missouri State University on Saturday March 6th.
