Roos Extend Win Streak to Six Against UT Arlington

Naomie Alnatas put up 38 points on 6-of-7 three-point shooting in the Roos' victory
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Kansas City Women's Basketball extended its winning streak to six-straight games this evening, using a fourth quarter surge to defeat UT Arlington, 85-76. Four Roos finished in double-digits, led by Naomie Alnatas's 38-point, seven-assist night.

KEY MOMENTS
- 1Q / 9-6 | As the teams traded buckets to begin the game, an Alnatas and-one put the Roos in front by three just over two minutes into the contest.
- 1Q / 24-23 | The Mavs jumped out to a six-point lead, but a seven-point Kansas City run, capped by a pair of free throws from Dani Winslow, put the Roos back in front.
- 2Q / 38-29 | The Roos began the second quarter with 11-straight points, five from Alnatas, a three by Kiara Bradley and a lay-in by Paige Bradford to take command early in the quarter.
- 2Q / 44-43 | After UTA battled back to take a brief lead, two free throws by Mandy Willems took the Roos into half with a lead.
- 3Q / 52-47 | Brooklyn McDavid pulled down an offensive board on a Bradford miss, finding Alnatas outside the three-point line to extend KC's lead to five.
- 3Q / 58-58 | Arlington took the lead by as many as four points, but a Bradford fast break layup equalized towards the end of the third quarter.
- 4Q / 65-60 | Alnatas knocked down back-to-back three pointers to open up the fourth quarter, putting the Roos in front by five.
- 4Q / 78-68 | Another Alnatas triple capped a 13-3 Kansas City run, putting KC in the drivers' seat for good and guiding them to yet another victory.
STATS TO NOTE
- The Roos shot 52.8% from the field on the game, shooting 9-of-12 in both the first and fourth quarters.
- KC outscored the Mavs by 10 points, 26-16 in the final frame.
- Alnatas went 12-of-19 from the field, including 6-of-7 from three-point range, for her second career 35-plus point game.
- Winslow put in 28 minutes off the bench for the Roos, scoring a career-high nine points and pulling down four rebounds.
- Kansas City outscored the Mavericks 36-9 from beyond the three-point line.
- Bradford logged her first double-double of the season with 10 points and a career-high tying 13 rebounds. It was her second-straight game with 12-plus boards.
- KC's 85 points is the most scored by an Arlington opponent since Jan. 25, 2020. The Mavs have played opponents such as Stephen F. Austin, Baylor and Houston in that time period.
- The Roos dished out a season-high tying 19 assists on 28 field goals.
