
Four More Roos Added to Men’s Soccer Class of 2020

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Men's Soccer program and head coach Ryan Pore announced Thursday four more additions to the 2020 season. The first-year coach will welcome the following individuals: Albert Porqueras Adame, Dennis Mensah, Jesus Virgen and Desmond Williams.
Albert Porqueras Adame | Defender | 5-10 | 155 | Barcelona, Spain | IES Jaume Salvador I Pedrol
High School: Team captain... Led the team in both goals and assists... Coached by Javier Pascual... Earned an academic award in 2015... Also competed in basketball.
Personal: Born Jan. 27, 1999 in Barcelona, Spain. … Son of Joseph Maria and Maria Angeles … Has a younger brother, Gerard... Played soccer at URL Blanquerna.
Coach Pore: "Albert is a versatile left-sided player that we believe has the quality to come in and compete right away. He's played at a very high level in a competitive region of Catalonia and has trained at some top clubs. We like his attacking abilities coming from the back and also his physicality on the defensive side."

High School: Recognized on the All-State and All-Conference teams... Was the top goal scorer on the team... Mentored by coach Dan Bushendorf... Played club for Minnesota Thunder Academy under John Swallen and Minneapolis United under Ralph Akale... Ended his season scoring his seventh goal against St. Louis FC Academy.
Personal: Born Dec. 24, 2001 in Kumasi, Ghana… Son of Dannis and Janet Mensah… Has three siblings, John, Portia and Prince... Majoring in Business Management / Marketing.
Coach Pore: "Dennis is an attacking player with good physical attributes and has a history of scoring goals. We believe his best years are still ahead of him and are excited to work with him."

High School: Did not play soccer in high school... Under the coaching of Ged Quinn, competed for Real Salt Lake Academy (2014-17) and Barca Academy (2017-20).
Personal: Born March 18, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah… Son of Ruben and Rosalina Virgen … Had three older siblings, Jose, Celina and Stephany... Majoring in Criminal Justice.
Coach Pore: "We are very fortunate to add a player of Jesus' quality this late in the recruiting process. He has an ambitious personality that aligns with our vision here at KC after playing for one of the top youth academies in the U.S. Jesus can play as a center back or defensive midfielder and has the quality with the ball and game awareness we believe will translate well in our system."

2019 (University of Detroit Mercy): Played in five games during freshman campaign, seeing 43 minutes... Made collegiate debut in season opener against Niagara (8/30)... Season-high 13 minutes against Wright State (10/19).
High School: Lettered in three seasons for the Wildcats and coach Wynleux Henderson... Three-time All-Conference player, including Second Team as a junior and First Team as a senior and was also Second Team All-District as a senior and Team MVP... Helped team to district championship in 2017 and earned Thompson Sunnyway award for perseverance and commitment... Totaled nine goals and 10 assists in high school, starting 51 of 53 games across three years... Scholar-athlete all four years... Played club soccer with Blast FC (eight years) and Club Ohio (two years).
Personal: Full name is Desmond Alano Williams... Born in Columbus, Ohio on Nov. 14, 2000... Son of Marsha Bailey-Williams and John Williams... Has two older siblings, Merlene and Camela... His sister, Merlene, played soccer at Wright State... Major is Financial Economics.
Coach Pore: "Desmond has experience playing at the DI level with Detroit Mercy and we believe has the qualities we look for in a defender. He's got good technical ability and athleticism that will help our team. We are excited to continue his development."
