
Kruse and Fenoglio Named TicketSmarter Roo Players of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Athletics has announced Delainey Fenoglio of softball and Tom Kruse of men's tennis the TicketSmarter Roo Players of the Week, for the week of Feb. 24.
Tom Kruse
Kruse was a pivotal piece to the Roos picking up their first team victory of the season. Last Friday, Kansas City defeated Oral Roberts, 4-2, and Kruse claimed his second three-set win of the year. In the No. 2 singles spot, Kruse defeated Barnabas Koncz by scores of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. He has already won WAC Singles Player of the Week and WAC Doubles Player of the Week honors. Next up, the Roos host Rockhurst University Friday at the Plaza Tennis Center (weather pending).
Delainey Fenoglio
Fenoglio, in her first season as a Roo, has been impressive immediately at the dish. She was named to the Hawai'i Invitational All-Tournament Team this past weekend for posting a .500 batting average (7-for-14) with three RBI. She walloped her first career Roo home run against the Invitational Most Valuable Pitcher from Iowa on Sunday. For the season, she is first on the team in average (.389) and walks (5) and second in slugging percentage (.556) and RBI (3). Kansas City next travels to Southeast Missouri State this weekend for a three-game set.
