Five Things to Know
- The Roos wrap up non-conference play in Carbondale, Ill. on Thursday as they take on Southern Illinois at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
- A win on Thursday would ensure the Roos finish non-conference play with a winning record for the second year in a row. The Roos finished non-con 8-7 last season with key wins over Denver, Missouri and George Mason.
- Junior Naomie Alnatas has led the Roos in scoring in each of the past three games, averaging 17.7 ppg over that stretch. These were the first three games in Alnatas's career that she led the team in scoring.
- In the past two games, the Roos have received great production off of the bench, led by Freshman Sanaa' St. Andre. St. Andre reached double figures in each of those games, including a 16-point, six-assist performance against SIUE on Dec. 12. She currently sits at second place in the Summit League with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.0.
- Junior Emily Ivory was inserted back into the starting lineup against Kansas State on Monday after coming off of the bench in the two previous games. Ivory continued her three-point barrage, knocking down three triples. She has hit at least three three-pointers in the Roos' last six games extending to last season and is currently third in the Summit in three-pointers per game.

- Kansas City's hot three-point shooting against SIUE carried into the first quarter against the Wildcats, as the Roos knocked down five triples in the first ten minutes.
- The Roos carried a 39-37 lead into the half, led by 17 points off of the bench.
- In the second half, the Wildcats' Ayoka Lee took over. Lee finished with 31 points and 14 rebounds.
- Kansas City shot at a 16.7% rate in the second half, including 1-of-14 three-point shooting.Â
- The Roos were led by Naomie Alnatas for the third game in a row, finishing with 15 points and five rebounds.
- Emily Ivory and Sanaa' St. Andre also finished in double digits, scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively.
- Kansas State won the rebounding battle decisively, 57-33.

- The Roos and Salukis met in the Roo Holiday Classic in the 2016-17 season.Â
- Kansas City held a 37-23 lead at the half, but SIU scored 54 points in the second half to come away with the victory.
- The Roos' Samantha Waldron was scorching hot from the field, finishing with 37 points.
All-Time Series vs. Southern Illinois: SIU leads, 1-0
- This will be just the second time in program history that Kansas City matches up with the Salukis.
- It is the first time that the Roos travel to Carbondale for a matchup.
Southern Illinois Scouting Report
- SIU offers a balanced scoring attack, with four players averaging double digits. Makenzie Silvey leads the squad with 13.3 points per game.
- Abby Brockmeyer is the Saluki's leading rebounder, averaging 9.7 boards per game. She pairs that with 12.7 points per game.
- SIU currently averages 16 assists per game, the 62nd-best mark in Division One.Â
- The turnover battle will be one to watch. SIU has been forced into nearly 15 giveaways per game, while the Roos are forcing 16 per game.
