Roos to Take on George Mason Before Clashing with (RV) Missouri State
Season Highlights
- The Roos kick off their longest road stretch of the season this week, traveling to George Mason and Missouri State before taking on Omaha next Wednesday.
- Kansas City is 3-3 on the season following a victory over Rockhurst and a loss in a double-OT thriller to Loyola Chicago last week.
- The Roos are currently second in the WAC in field goal percentage and points per game, averaging 73.2 points on 42.7% shooting.
- Ericka Mattingly is finding her form, averaging 19.7 points over the last three games to bring her season average to 16.8, third in the WAC

- The Roos and Patriots square off for the second time in as many years, following a 91-84 offensive battle that resulted in a George Mason win last season.

- The Patriots are off to a 4-1 start to begin the year, including a victory on Sunday over Penn State that was sparked by a 41-point performance from Nicole Cardaño-Hillary.
- Cardaño-Hillary and Jacy Bolton led George Mason offensively last season, and are off to a similar start this year, averaging 22.6 and 12.0 points per game, respectively.
- Cardaño-Hillary was recently named to the Her Hoop Stats Mid-Major Player of the Year watch list, currently ranking 11th in the nation in points per game.
Missouri State Scouting Report
- The Bears are off to a 6-1 start this season, including a Preseason WNIT championship game appearance.
- Missouri State is currently receiving votes in the Associated Press poll, and was ranked 22nd in the most recent USA Today/WBCA Coaches' poll.
- The Bears are coming off of a Sweet Sixteen appearance, following a 25-10 record last year.
- Alexa Willard is off to a dominant start to her senior season, averaging 20.0 points per game.
- Jasmine Franklin averages a near double double, posting 9.7 points and rebounds per game.
- The Bears have defeated three teams so far this season that were receiving votes in the Coaches' poll at the time of the game, taking down #23 Minnesota, (RV) Boise State and (RV) South Dakota.
