KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Women's Soccer program and head coach Chris Cissell announced Wednesday that 12 student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent and two student-athletes are preferred walk-ons. The Roos recently appeared in their seventh-straight conference tournament semifinal and ended with the fewest losses in school history at 13-4-4 overall.
Coach Cissell and his staff have primarily recruited within a five-hour radius of Kansas City. The 2020 class is comprised of four players from the St. Louis area, four from the Omaha area and the other six from the Kansas City metro area.
"We are very excited, thrilled and pleased to welcome our great 2020 ROOcruiting class to our awesome Women's Soccer Family," said head coach Chris Cissell. "Associate Head Coach Jeff Cole and I are very excited about this class and we know we have added phenomenal student-athletes to our Soccer Family. Not only is this class full of great overall athletes but they are also tremendous students who all possess great character and integrity and we look forward to them officially joining our family today."
Kansas City women's soccer has seen tremendous success posting 12-plus wins in six of the past seven seasons and three regular-season conference championships since 2014.
Caijah Anderson | Midfielder | 5-3 | Papillion, Neb. | Marian High School
High School: Named to the All-State and All-Metro Honorable Mention Teams… Earned the Silver Boot Award as a junior… In 2018, tied for first on the team in assists… National Honors Society in final two years… On Dean's Roll and Principal's list all four years… Honor's Society tutor.

Mackenzie Caldwell | Goalkeeper | 5-10 | Moscow Mills, Mo. | Troy Buchanan High School
High School: Participated in three sports – volleyball, basketball and track… Earned all-conference nod as a sophomore… Played all four years on varsity team: three as an attacking center midfielder and one year as a goalkeeper… Posted eight goals in her career… Earned three varsity letters on basketball team… Honor Roll as a freshman and sophomore… Member of Student Ambassadors and Mentors, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes… Goalkeeper for U18 Fillies-Wyland Missouri team in 2016 and went undefeated in regional play.

Jacey Faust | Forward | 5-5 | Pleasant Hill, Mo. | Pleasant Hill High School
High School: Honored on the All-State Second Team as a sophomore and senior… All-District First Team recognition two times… Named to First Team All-Region in 2017 and 2019… Team MVP… Earned academic letter all four years… In her career, scored 55 goals and posted 62 assists… Participated also in basketball, cross country and track.

Lillie Fields | Defender/Midfielder | 5-8 | St. Charles, Mo. | Francis Howell High School
High School: Will have only played two years of varsity high school soccer prior to being a Roo… Four-time member of the Honor Roll and twice named to the National Honor Society… Will graduate Cum Laude status… Participated on Principal Advisory Council and the Viking Leadership Academy.
