UMKC Hits the Little Apple for Final Nonconference Tilt

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC women's soccer is set to travel to Manhattan, Kansas, to face Kansas State for the final nonconference match of 2016 for the 'Roos. UMKC and K-State will play on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. CT at the K-State Soccer Complex.

Friday night's match against the Wildcats will be broadcast on COX Channel Kansas to COX cable subscribers, and online at K-StateHD.TV (subscription required). Live Stats will also be available through KStateSports.com.
About the 'Roos
Coming off the biggest win of the season, a 4-0 victory over a tough Oral Roberts squad, UMKC sits at 3-6-2 on the season. In the shutout over the Golden Eagles, sophomore forward Kelsey Mothershead (Smithville, Mo.) recorded the third hat trick in program history, scoring in the ninth, 68th, and 75th minutes. Junior Kara Priest (Overland Park, Kan.) scored the other goal for the 'Roos in the victory.
Mothershead leads UMKC with six goals this season, totaling 12 points. Reighan Childers (Grain Valley, Mo.) is the only other UMKC player with multiple goals (2) and has added one assist for five total points this season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Anna Lillig (Kansas City, Mo.) picked up her first win of the season in the 4-0 shutout over Oral Roberts, and now holds a record of 1-6-2.
About the Wildcats
Kansas State, in its first season in program history, is 3-5-3 with wins over Oakland, Omaha, and South Dakota. Tatum Wagner leads the Wildcats with nine points, including three goals and three assists. In goal, K-State has looked primarily to Miranda Larkin, who has started nine games, posting a 3-3-3 record, including four shutouts.
