
?Roos Trek to Volunteer State to Face Memphis, UT Martin

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC women's soccer is set to head east to Tennessee for a two-game stretch, as they take on Memphis and UT Martin. The 'Roos and Memphis will play on Friday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. CT, ahead of a Sunday afternoon bout with UT Martin on the Skyhawks' campus in Martin.

Friday night's tilt against Memphis will be streamed live via GoTigersGo.com and will be available with a paid subscription. The match will have live stats available at UMKCStats.com. The game against UT Martin will also have live stats via UMKCStats.com, but will not have a live stream available.
About the 'Roos
UMKC sits at 0-2-2 on the season after falling to Arkansas on Monday, Aug. 29, 2-0. Sophomore goalkeeper Anna Lillig (Kansas City, Mo.) posted seven saves on the night, but the 'Roos were outshot 24-5. Sophomore forward Kelsey Mothershead (Smithville, Mo.) has scored the lone goal for UMKC this season in a 1-1 draw at Creighton.
About the Tigers
Memphis is 3-1-0, with wins over Southeastern Louisiana (4-1), Western Kentucky (2-0) and No. 19 Ole Miss (2-1). The Tigers' lone loss came to Little Rock (0-2), two days after the win over the nationally-ranked Rebels. Valerie Sanderson leads Memphis with three goals and two assists for a total of eight points, while Marie Levasseur and Serena Dolan have contributed two goal apiece.
About the Skyhawks
UT Martin sits a 0-3-0 on the year with losses to Western Kentucky (1-7), UAB (1-4) and Mississippi State (1-3). Saphyra Coombs-James has scored two of the Skyhawks' three goals, with Maggie Burkett adding the other.

Following the two games in Tennessee, UMKC will return home for a Sunday evening showdown with Kansas at Durwood Stadium on Sept. 11. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on the WAC Digital Network.
