
Roos Welcome Lopes, ?Runners for WAC Play

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With just five games remaining in regular season play, UMKC women's soccer is set to welcome Grand Canyon and CSU Bakersfield this weekend for two of the final three home games of the season.
The Roos are slated to face GCU on Friday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m., following the men's soccer match against Seattle U scheduled for 5 p.m. CSU Bakersfield will come to town on Sunday, Oct. 16 for a 1 p.m. matchup with UMKC.

About the Roos
UMKC (4-7-3, 1-0-1 WAC) is led offensively by sophomore Kelsey Mothershead (Smithville, Mo.), who has accumulated a team-high 13 points, scoring six goals and adding one assist. Sophomore Reighan Childers (Grain Valley, Mo.) has tallied three goals and two assists for a total of eight points, including an assists and the game-winning goal in double overtime against UT Rio Grande Valley (Oct. 7).
Sophomore goalkeeper Anna Lillig (Kansas City, Mo.) has made 51 saves this season and allowed 20 goals for a .718 save percentage. Lillig has a 2-7-3 record this season, posting two shutouts.
About the Lopes
Grand Canyon (5-8-0, 1-1-0 WAC) looks to Milla Benedetti as its primary offensive weapon. Benedetti has 13 points on the season to lead the Lopes, including five goals and three assists. Blakely Fraasch has played 13 games for the Lopes, accumulating a 5-8-0 record, including two shutouts. Allowing 19 goals to her 36 saves, she holds a .655 save percentage.
About the 'Runners
CSU Bakersfield (5-8-1, 1-1-0 WAC) has two players that have scored five-plus goals this season in Jordan Bartel (5) and Sabrina Delgado (6). Delgado leads the team with 14 points, adding two assists to her six goals. In goal, the 'Runners rely primarily on Jen Padilla, who has a 5-5-1 record, playing 998 minutes. Padilla holds a .750 save percentage, making 60 saves and allowing 20 goals.
