UMKC Tennis Knocks Off Bearcats for Fifth Straight Win

(Maryville, Mo.) - The UMKC women's tennis team made it five wins in a row on Monday, edging out Northwest Missouri State by a 4-3 margin.
UMKC (9-7) grabbed the doubles point with wins by the duo of Suzan Lisenby/Amelie Amsallem (8-6), and Maddie Schulte/Gabby Pintos (8-3).
In singles play, Laura Bouet scored a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2, while Schulte grabbed a 6-4, 6-1 win at the No. 4 position. The final win came from Jillian Yakominich at No. 6, grabbing a 6-3, 6-2 victory.
The 'Roos head to Fort Wayne, Ind. for the final Summit League cluster starting this Thursday. They will play four matches in three days.
