Kansas City, Mo. -- The UMKC men's basketball team's move from historic Municipal Auditorium to the on-campus Swinney Recreation Center is featured in Friday's Kansas City Star. The 'Roos will play 14 of their 15 home games at SRC in 2010-11.
UMKC is renovating SRC in preparation for the move, as new chair-back seats are being installed to replace the old wooden bleachers. With the 1,700 seat capacity, the venue will provide the 'Roos with a significant home court advantage.
