Sammie Bachrodt serves as the graduate assistant coach as the 2020-21 season will be her second year. “I am so thankful and excited that coach Jacie Hoyt has given me the opportunity to be a part of her program, " said Bachrodt. “It is not a secret that coach Jacie and her staff are doing special things here at Kansas City, and I love that I get to be a part of it.”
Bachrodt will be primarily responsible for film exchange, while assisting with numerous other day-to-day duties with the program.
“We are elated to have Sammie on board with us.” commented head coach Jacie Hoyt. “One of the things we take pride in as a staff is providing our players with positive role models. When you look at the career Sam had as a player it reflects everything we look for to give our current players both on and off the floor. I love the energy and passion she brings for the game and mentoring our players. There is no doubt that she is adding to the momentum we have as a program and athletic department right now!”

Sophomore Year at Drake University (2016-17): MVC All-Defensive Team... All-MVC Honorable mention... started every game this year and every game in her career... scored in double figures in 17-of-32 games... averaged 10.3 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game... recorded a new career-high of 23 points in the regular season finale against Wichita State (March 4)... had a career-high of 10 rebounds at Evansville (Feb. 5)... had a career-high of six assists against Loyola (Jan. 20)... ranks third in the MVC with her steals (averaging 2.6 per game) and second in the MVC for her three-point percentage (40.8 percent).
Freshman Year at Drake University (2015-16): Named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman Team ... started all 33 games ... averaged 5.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in first season ... scored career-high 13 points in win over William Penn (Dec. 11) ... pulled down career-high nine rebounds four times.
High School: Four-year letter winner ... four-time all-state selection ... three-time all-class, all-city and all-metro selection ... helped Kapaun Mt. Carmel capture Kansas 5A state championship her freshman season ... team finished third her junior season ...
