Kansas City dashed past the Fighting Hawks, winning each of the first four points
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Tennis (8-9, 4-1 Summit) got back to winning ways at the Plaza Tennis Center this afternoon, taking down North Dakota (10-11, 5-1 Summit) in convincing fashion, 6-1. Kansas City dashed out to an early start, winning the doubles point behind a 6-0 win by Joana Cardona and Kate Miley at the No. 2 spot.Â
It did not take long for the Roos to take control in singles play, clinching the match behind three straight-set wins from Miley, Anastassiya Timofeyeva and Michela Xibilia. Cardona and Catherine Chrobak gutted out three-set wins to cement the final score.
