Kansas City Dance will look to build upon recent success at the NDA Nationals
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Kansas City Dance team has made its annual trip to Daytona Beach for the 2023 National Dance Alliance (NDA) College Nationals, beginning today and running through Sunday. The Roos will compete at the Division I level, which includes other NCAA DI FCS and non-football schools.Â
Competition will begin tomorrow for Kansas City, beginning at 11:51 a.m. ET for the preliminary round of Jazz dancing. The Roos will turn around for Pom prelims at 7:11 p.m. Should the team advance in either event, it will compete in the final rounds on Saturday.
Last year, Kansas City placed fifth nationally in Pom with an event score of 89.0857 and was eighth in Jazz with a score of 89.0571. KC Dance has finished top-five in Pom each of the past two years, and top-10 in Jazz for five consecutive national championships, including a first-place finish in 2017.
