Kansas City made quick work of the Mavericks for a 5-2 win

OMAHA, Neb. - Kansas City Tennis (4-8, 1-0 Summit) began Summit League play on a high note this afternoon, taking down Omaha (4-10, 0-1 Summit), 5-2. The win got the Roos off to an undefeated start in league play and snapped a four-match losing streak.

After falling in doubles to begin the match down a point, the Roos picked it up and dominated on the singles side. Laura Munoz-Baroja, Kate Miley, Joanna Cardona and Anastassiya Timofeyeva all picked up singles wins in under an hour and 45 minutes, clinching the victory for KC. For Timofeyeva, it was her first appearance and first win of the spring season, playing from the six-spot.
