The Roo-port will give fans a deeper look into the Kansas City Athletics Department
KANSAS CITY - New within Kansas City's Athletic Communications unit is the Kansas City Roo-port, a podcast highlighting the happenings in the department and focusing on the student-athletes, coaches and staff within Kansas City Athletics.
Jerod Fox and Cristian Martinez will host the long-form podcast, which will be released weekly. It will reflect on the past week's events, as well as previewing the week to come. In addition, the pair will speak to student-athletes, coaches and others around the department, telling the deeper stories of those that make the Roos run.
Fox is Kansas City's Assistant Athletics Director for Strategic Communications and has worked within the department since 2019. Martinez is a current UMKC student with a passion for Kansas City sports and experience working with the KC Sports Network.
The podcast will be released on kcroos.com and on the Summit League Network.
