Short-handed Roos can't overcome defaulted points
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Kansas City Women's Tennis fell on Sunday morning to Missouri State, 6-1.Â
Michela Xibilia and Yana Grechkina were unable to compete at one doubles, which moved the other teams up a spot. The Bears were able to take the doubles point handily.
With Xibilia and Grechkina both out at one and two singles, the Roos were forced to shift the lineup two spots up for singles. Competing at the one spot, Riddhi Sharma was able to pick up a 6-2, 6-2 win, but was the lone Roo to pick up a point.
The Roos will have some time to recoup before the start of Western Athletic Conference play in Las Cruces, N.M. on March 21 & 22.
