UMKC Set for Matches with Creighton and Air Force

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC women's tennis will look to add a pair of victories this weekend when it heads to Omaha, Neb., for a match with Creighton on Friday before returning to Kansas City for a match with Air Force on Sunday.

UMKC continues its 2018 campaign when it takes on Creighton and Air Force this weekend.
Last week, the Roos suffered a pair of setbacks in Wichita, Kan., as the Blue & Gold fell to UT Arlington, 4-2 and Wichita State, 4-0. On the season, Katie Fries, Melinda Johnson and Yana Grechkina have all garnered WAC Player of the Week honors.
For the opponents, Creighton comes into the match with a record of 3-2 on the season with wins over Omaha, North Dakota and Missouri State, while falling to Drake and Iowa. Air Force, meanwhile, enters the weekend with a 3-1 mark on the season picking up wins over Grand Canyon, Metro State and Southern Utah before falling to Colorado. The Falcons will face-off with Rockhurst on Sunday before taking on the Roos.
