Colorado State Takes Out Kangaroos on Saturday, 5-2

(Fort Collins, Colo.) - The UMKC women's tennis squad held their own at Colorado State on Saturday afternoon, but in the end, fell by a 5-2 margin.
The Rams (1-0) took the doubles point after victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, while UMKC (2-1) led the match at No. 3 by a 5-4 margin before the dual was clinched. in singles play, the 'Roos rallied with wins at the No. 2 and No. 5 spots from senior Maddie Schulte and freshman Marina Albert, but it wasn't enough as the Rams tallied wins at the four other positions. Mariam Kurasbediani was in a tight one, but dropped it 7-6, 7-5 at No. 3.
UMKC will face Air Force on Sunday afternoon to complete play on the weekend.
