
Women's Tennis Heads to No. 53 Mizzou for Wednesday Dual

(Kansas City, Mo.) - The Kansas City women's tennis team travels to Missouri for a mid-week dual at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Columbia.
The Opponent
at No. 53 Missouri - Columbia, Mo - 5:00 p.m.
The Tigers come in with a 4-1 overall record, including wins in their last three matches. Individually, junior Cierra Gaytan-Leach is ranked 82rd nationally and boasts a perfect 7-0 singles record. She and Elisha Gabb are the No. 46 doubles team in the nation as well.
Kansas City is 1-15 overall against MU, winning only in 1995. The two squads have only played twice since 1997.
Last Time Out
The 'Roos dropped a tight 4-3 decision to Arkansas-Little Rock at home on Sunday. Picking up wins for UMKC were Dimitra Stavrianakou at No. 3, Amelie Amsallem at No. 5, and Maddie Schulte at No. 6.
Player of the Week
Maddie Schulte became the second 'Roo to earn Summit League Player of the Week accolades this season, going 2-0 over the weekend in singles action, including a win against Wichita State, who is ranked No. 66 in the nation.
Eva Dalvai was named Player of the Week earlier this season for UMKC.
