Under his guidance, UMKC has captured four Summit League regular season titles and has made three appearances in the NCAA College Cup with the most recent appearance coming in 2008. Benben, the fourth head coach in the Division I era, was inducted into the UMKC Athletics Hall of Fame this past year.
Tony Tocco is the second-winningest active coach in the college ranks with 600 career victories. He is in his 42nd season as a college head coach, all at Rockhurst. He has led RU to 17 national tournament appearances.
The Series
The 'Roos are 5-9-1 all-time against Rockhurst in regular season play, but the two teams have played in exhibition action the last three years. In 2009 the game ended 2-2, followed by a 1-1 tie in 2010 and a 2-1 UMKC win last year.
