Women's Tennis Shuts Down Coyotes on Day One, 7-0

(Las Vegas, Nev.) - The UMKC women's tennis squad started Summit League play on the right foot, taking a 7-0 win over South Dakota on Thursday at the conference cluster at Bally's Las Vegas.
UMKC (5-7, 1-0 SL) grabbed two of the three doubles matches to grab the point going into singles. The 'Roos wrapped up the win after just three singles matches as Maddie Schulte grabbed a straight set win over Nina Barudzic, followed by wins from Eva Dalvai and Laura Bouet in straight sets. The 'Roos closed out the perfect 6-0 singles record with wins by Amelie Amsallem, Suzan Lisenby, and Jillian Yakominich.
UMKC will battle both IUPUI and Western Illinois on Friday.
