Terran Hoyt, younger sister of head coach Jacie, serves as a graduate assistant coach as the 2020-21 season will be her first year. “The opportunity to join a championship culture like that of Kansas City Women’s Basketball is an incredible honor. I am excited to join a staff and team that truly feels like a family," said Terran.
“Terran will be a big asset to our program," said Jacie. "She has been a part of many winning teams and surrounded by many great coaches from a very young age. I know that she will help our players understand what it takes to achieve success at a high level both on and off the court.”
BIO INFORMATION
Tabor College (2018-20): Played two seasons at the guard position appearing in 60 career games... As a senior in 2019-20, averaged 16.6 minutes in 28 games... Ranked second on the team in 3-pointer's made (29) and third in steals (26)... Part of a program to win both the 2018-19 regular season and tournament KCAC Championship, qualifying for the NAIA National Tournament.... First Tabor College player in history to be selected to the prestigious 18th Annual Women’s Basketball Coaches Association “So You Want to Be a Coach” program... Selected as a two-time recipient of the conference Champion of Character award... Tabbed league scholar-athlete twice... Honored with the 2019-20 Most Inspirational Award.
University of Nebraska-Kearney (2016-18): Two-year member of the Lopers Women’s Basketball Team... Named to MIAA All-Academic Team and MIAA Honor Roll.
High School: Played high school for her mother who led Hoxie to a state record 107 straight wins and four-consecutive state titles, three of which Terran was a part of.
Personal: Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tabor College... Born Dec. 9 in Hays, Kan... Daughter of Scott and Shelly Hoyt... Younger sister of KC Roos head coach Jacie Hoyt... Majoring in Communications... Hometown is Eureka, Kan.
