2020 (Sophomore): In a shortened season due to COVID-19 pandemic in which there were 19 games played, Packard appeared in 15 games, starting in 11 of them in the circle... As a pitcher, led the team in all major categories with a 5-9 record, 4.82 ERA, five complete games, 65.1 innings, 42 walks and a .293 opponent batting average... Has nine games where she allowed two-or-fewer earned runs... Posted first complete game of the year in the 2-1 loss to Iow (2/21), where she allowed just two runs on four hits and struck out five.... Tallied season-high eight strikeouts twice, against Southeast Missouri (2/28) and Drake (3/8)... Finished with at least five whiffs in four of her appearances... Named Academic All-WAC.
2019 (Freshman): Recorded a 2.76 ERA, which was eighth-best on the school single-season chart…collected nine wins and 12 losses… Appeared in 39 games and started 22 of them…threw 13 complete games....racked up four saves… had a team high 143 strikeouts, which ranked No. 7 on the school single-season list… faced a total of 730 batters.....Offensively, recorded 15 AB’s….. slashed .200 BA and .368 OBP… totaled three hits, three walks and three RBIs... Her first collegiate pitching appearance came Feb 8, 2019 in relief (One inning, two strikeouts, no hits, zero earned runs)... Her first collegiate strikeout came on Feb 8, 2019 vs. Detroit... Her first complete game came on Feb 9, 2019 vs. DePaul in the 2-1 loss... She earned the WAC Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 18-24 as she went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in three appearances; she struck out 20 batters over 12.2 innings, allowing just two hits; On Feb. 23rd against Grambline State, she threw the first no-hitter in the conference since March 10, 2017... Named Academic All-WAC.
High School: While playing softball for Beloit Turner HS, she racked up several awards. She was a 4x Rock Valley Conference Champion....4x first team all conference pitcher... 4x all district pitcher...... 3x conference player of the year.......honorable mention all state pitcher (freshman year)......Third team all state pitcher (sophomore year)......First team all state pitcher (junior year).......third team all state pitcher senior year (missed half of senior season due to injury)......Nominated for Wisconsin Softball Gatorade Player of the Year.....Awarded top Senior Pitcher in the state of Wisconsin.....Won top female athlete in senior class.
Personal: Born on January 23rd, 2000..... Majoring in Elementary Education.... Daughter of James Packard and Dori Hughes..... Has five siblings - sisters Laurin, Alison, Raegan, Kelsie and brother Konner..... Her sister, Kelsie, currently plays softball at Valparaiso University..... Her mother, Dori, played Softball at Florida Southern College.
