"During his time as Director of A-Club Alumni, BJ Stabler demonstrated the rare ability to connect tradition with progress. He understood that honoring former student-athletes isn't just about legacy—it's about continued investment in people, purpose, and philanthropy. BJ built authentic relationships, elevated engagement across generations of letterwinners, and created meaningful ways for alumni to remain connected to the University, including through philanthropic support. He helped foster a culture of giving rooted in pride, gratitude, and belief in the long-term success of student-athletes and programs. His leadership reflected integrity, preparation, and respect for the role athletics plays in shaping lives beyond the field. He consistently brought a professional, forward-thinking approach to alumni relations and development, and any organization fortunate enough to work with him will benefit from his vision, discipline, and commitment to excellence."
-Ozzie Newsome Executive Vice President of Player Personnel Baltimore Ravens
"Returning to campus for the 1992 National Championships reunion was a powerful and meaningful experience for me, both personally and as someone who has spent a career in collegiate athletics administration. Over the years you remember the moments that define you, and seeing former teammates, coaches, and staff reminded me how much those relationships and traditions shape a lifelong connection to this University. I was particularly proud to support and help champion the effort to create a scholarship in the name of the 1992 National Championship team, ensuring that the legacy of that group continues to impact future generations of student-athletes. This scholarship stands as a testament to not just athletic excellence, but character, resilience, and commitment — values that alumni carry far beyond the field of play. BJ Stabler's leadership throughout this effort was exceptional. He brought vision, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to honoring the past while building for the future. His ability to engage alumni, unite constituencies, and advance opportunities for student-athletes embodies the very best of what collegiate athletics should strive for."
