Women?s Hoops Set for Lone Exhibition at Municipal

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC women's basketball will face Kansas Christian in an exhibition game at Municipal Auditorium on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. CT. The tune-up game is the first and only preseason matchup for the Roos before starting the regular season at home on Friday, Nov. 11 against Tulsa.

Tickets for Saturday's exhibition game against the Falcons can be purchased online at UMKCKangaroos.com/Tickets, or at the Municipal Auditorium box office on game day, with general admission tickets starting at $7. Season ticket packages start at $50 for general admission seating and courtside tickets begin at $75.
About the Roos
UMKC women's basketball returns 11 letterwinners and four starters from last season, including 2016 Media All-WAC Preseason First-Team honoree Aries Washington (Kansas City, Mo.). Washington averaged 11.2 points per game a season ago, and with the return of Kiana Law (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Samantha Waldron (Omaha, Neb.), the Roos return the bulk of their scoring load. Law averaged 10 points for the Roos in 2015-16, and Waldron put up 9.3 points per game and a team-high 12.3 in conference games.
