UMKC Apparel to Debut Wednesday at Rally House and Kansas Sampler

(Kansas City, Mo.) – The next time fans are in select Rally House and Kansas Sampler locations, they will see something new: officially licensed University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Kangaroos merchandise. In response to requests for official UMKC 'Roos gear to be available in more retail outlets in the Kansas City area, Athletics Director Tim Hall and Strategic Marketing Affiliates (SMA), the university's licensing agent, are pleased to announce partnerships with area Rally House and Kansas Sampler locations.
“I am thrilled that UMKC has an opportunity to expand our brand throughout greater Kansas City with quality merchandise available at Rally House and Kansas Sampler locations around the area,” said Hall. “Our alumni, students, staff, faculty, and all our fans, can find a variety of brands and styles at the different locations and online. Rally House and Kansas Sampler have a tremendous presence in the Kansas City community and we are excited to build our partnership with them.”
The 'Roos will kick off the new line with a launch party from 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, at the Kansas Sampler near Oak Park Mall at 9750 Quivira Rd., Lenexa, Kan. The celebration will include special guests Chancellor Leo Morton, new men's basketball Coach Kareem Richardson and Kasey Kangaroo. Fans can get autographs, take pictures with Kasey and register to win great prizes such as two general admission season tickets for the 2013-2014 basketball season or a complimentary registration for the Kareem Richardson boys basketball summer camp.
