Patrick Kies is entering his second year as a graduate assistant with the UMKC softball program. Kies joined the 'Roos after working as a student manager with the softball team at the University of Arkansas from 2007-09.

While with the Razorbacks, Kies was a part of a program that competed in two NCAA Regionals. Kies has also coached ASA summer ball for seven years, where he assisted in the development of collegiate softball players.

Kies graduated from Arkansas in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in recreation with an emphasis in community sports. He is currently working on his master's degree in higher education administration at UMKC.
