The Blue & Gold had five individual champions and 13 athletes finish in the top three throughout the competition.
Senior Redell Frazier finished first in the 600-yard dash with a time of 1:13.08, which was the fourth best finish in this event in UMKC indoor track and field history.
In the men's triple jump event, senior DC Okanta won the event with a mark of 48'-10". As for senior Dontay Taylor, he won the long jump event with a mark of 22'-9".
In the weight throws event, UMKC swept the college section on both men's and women's side as junior Ramon Nelson (55'-11") and senior Denise Banda (54'-1") took home the crowns.
Other notable performances by UMKC were freshman Dahlia Dyson placing second in both the weight throws and shot put events. In addition, Dyson's performance in both events placed her fifth all-time on the UMKC indoor track and field list.
Up next for the UMKC track and field program will be the Holiday Preview event on Friday, Dec. 9 in Ames, Iowa, hosted by Iowa State. Times and location are to be announced.
